I have several positions in for Front End Developers to join my client based close to Newport, South Wales.
The role will involve reviewing, analysing, designing, programing, modifiying, developing and implementing client side applications and products. You will also work closely with customers and product management to develop new or custom features to software products and services.
Main responsibilities will include:
•Engineer code and debug software using the technologies defined •Perform specific skills and competence in reference to research and analysis of technologies •Derive and design technical specifications from general product requirements and specifications •Ability to implement from technical specifications •Problem-solve, diagnose, find and test solutions •Ability to create and perform unit tests •Participate in coding and code reviews for final product ••Be accountable for agreed upon development schedule •Assist in quality assurance measures (code reviews, unit and interaction test case creation, etc.) •Assist User Documentation Specialist in assembling information for user documentation •Assist Technical Support and development team in solving programming-related problems
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of:
• Demonstrable usage of OOAD modelling tools and methodologies, preferably UML. •Current on new technology and development techniques within software industry •Good skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation •Proficient in understanding and producing technical documentation
Experience and proficiency in the following technologies and systems is essential:
- Internet browsing concepts and technologies. - Javascript (at least 1.5) - AJAX concepts and implementation - HTML (at least 4.0) - Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) (at least 2.0) - Cross-browser compatibility - Development administration for Windows and Linux - Experience of an Object Oriented (OO) language, ideally Java - Graphics formats and manipulation e.g. PNG, JPG and GIF - Robust knowledge of Version, Source and Release control - Adherence to code quality and development procedures
Salary is up to £32,000 plus benefits.
