Full-time Account Director

at Sequence in Cardiff

We’re looking for an experienced Account Director with strong relationship building skills and proven digital/ online experience to work on a wide range of exciting projects.

We’re looking for someone that can demonstrate excellent strategic understanding and insight into a client’s digital marketing and business needs. You must be comfortable in being proactive around a client’s requirements and be competent at identifying new business opportunities and presenting solutions to drive targeted and measurable organic growth amongst our new and existing client accounts.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing web development accounts or managing major web applications and will have a thorough understanding of the Internet and the opportunities the industry presents for clients and Sequence alike.

Primarily working as the guardian of client service quality on multiple accounts, you’ll take every opportunity to make the agency indispensable to the client’s business. An outstanding client liaison used to managing relationships with exceptional global brands to increase revenue and produce high-quality work.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver multiple, varied and complex campaigns and projects to specified budgets and timescales
- Analyze and interrogate client briefs, and ensure agency briefs are on track and work is reviewed before it’s presented or delivered to the client
- Unlock huge growth within existing client businesses
- Work closely with Project Managers to deliver a range of projects and campaigns across a number of high profile clients
- Lead digital marketing and web strategy for clients, delivering a solid understanding of what makes great online activity on all media and channels
- Provide clients with strategic guidance on their digital business and marketing strategies
- The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Manage budgets across multiple clients and prepare reports for both clients and Sales Director on progress, profit, loss, utilisation and overall account situation
- Maintaining and developing client relationships by spotting opportunities and selling to clients, at a high level, our entire range of services to drive significant targeted growth to the benefit of the agency
- Maintaining regular contact with assigned key accounts, entertaining, consulting and advising on appropriate digital services to maximize spend and ensure clients are informed of industry developments
- Solid commercial experience in analytical and technology on medium and large scale projects
- Leading new business development
- Working on proposals and pitches to convert these leads into new clients
- Produce monthly account reports on growth/sales/forecast for the sales director

You need to have:

- A real passion for all things digital.
- Proven track record in developing and managing major client relationships and business
- Ability to talk about both creative and technical sides of a project
- Solid experience of working with brands of all shapes and sizes, from small to BIG
- Superb experience in digital marketing, website design & build, mobile and social media
- Up to date on digital industry developments, current trends and client industry competitor activity.
- Solid understanding of data driven websites, CMS systems and large scale projects within the digital space
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as superb time management abilities and great attention to detail
- 5+ years’ experience in a digital or integrated agency environment
