I have a fantastic opportunity for a PHP Developer to join a growing team based in Cardiff.
Working on a variety of websites and applications you must come from a development background with experience of working in development teams. You will have a strong desire to develop outstanding applications and have a ‘can-do’ attitude, pay attention to detail, be careful when handling data and deliver code unit tested to a high standard. You will be working within a tight-knit team of fellow programmers and GUI designers in a fun working environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
Essential:
PHP5 and MySQL
HTML/XHTML/JavaScript/CSS.
Demonstrate knowledge of design patterns such as MVC etc.
Experience and an excellent understanding of OOP.
Experience of developing complex data driven web applications, in particular CMS and ecommerce websites.
Experience with Apache, Linux and SSH.
Familiarity with XML
Ability and willingness to follow coding conventions and best practices while developing.
Ability to take part in producing development plans and following the development plans.
Ability to work in a tight-knit team.
Highly desirable:
Familiarity with MVC architecture and experience with Zend Framework
Familiarity with AJAX, HTML5 and good understanding of W3C standards.
Experience of jQuery
Experience of Version control such as SVN, Git or CVS.
Salary is £25,000-£35,000 dependent upon experience,
