Bipsync is a fast growing, venture-funded SaaS startup with a product obsessively designed to help financial organizations manage their research. Most of our customers are multi-billion dollar hedge funds based in New York.

This position will help support our Quality Assurance (QA) and product team out of our modern and spacious Cardiff office in Stadium Plaza, a stone’s throw from Cardiff Central train station. We also have an office in New York with the potential for travel.

As the QA Test Analyst, you’ll ensure the quality of Bipsync software on the web, mobile and desktop platforms.

You need to have some knowledge of software testing procedures, and experience with software testing tools is preferred.

About the QA Test Analyst Role

As a core member of the QA team, you will define, plan and execute manual software testing activities. You will provide information to the Cardiff product team and New York business team on testing progress and the overall quality status of the software products. You will use your initiative to proactively collaborate with the team to ensure that the products are comprehensively tested with manual and automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Define, plan and execute tests for existing and new features and use cases. Test for a wide variety of issues, including functional, visual, cross browser/platform and regressions.
• Review the requirements and design of planned features to develop early test plans.
• Collaborate with the Customer Success team in New York to discover and document reproduction steps for reported issues.
• Accurately report and prioritise defects in our JIRA tracking system and update existing tickets with new information.
• Regularly communicate your progress with the team.
• Proactively work with the team to monitor and improve the quality processes that are critical to our continuous delivery.
• Define and manage our software and hardware testing capabilities to ensure coverage on multiple platforms and devices.

Qualifications

• Ideally one or more years of experience with software testing, and/or a computer science related degree or equivalent technical background.
• Knowledge of manual testing procedures, including the ability to read, write and execute test cases and test plans.
• Strong communicator who can gather relevant evidence and clearly explain reproduction steps to developers.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience with issue trackers like JIRA is a plus.
• Experience with scripting or automated tools like Selenium and PHPUnit is an advantage.
