Creative Artworker

Full-time Imprint in Cardiff

We are looking for an experienced Creative Artworker to join our in-house print design team based within the marketing department at Peacocks Head Office in Cardiff. This role requires someone with knowledge in creating print ready artwork and understanding of design and layout.

Our design team work closely together to deliver engaging marketing campaigns, in store environments and experiences. Although based on site at our client’s office, you’ll also have the opportunity to work on projects as required across various other accounts. Our team is collaborative and ambitious, always striving to provide amazing work to our clients so you’ll need to be one of us – keen to make an impact beyond your job title, ready to impress and bags of personality!

This is a hands on, fast paced role, so you’ll need to be an artwork perfectionist and know your stuff in Adobe Creative Suite. It’s important you can demonstrate a clear passion for what you do, and you’ll have a portfolio to impress that you will present at interview.

You’ll be…

• Ensuring accurate completion of high quality large and small format print artwork, across various retail marketing projects, to include - window displays, instore POS, promotional and event literature and local marketing.

• Oversee, check and approve artwork through the design studio from other designers.

• Create new artwork from existing client templates, while maintaining brand consistency.

• Responsible for internal print workflow – to include artwork proofing and sign off processes.

• Working closely with the client in their office, so you’ve got to be comfortable working in house, a great communicator and happy to take and give feedback.

You will…

• Be educated to degree level – but it’s your work and experience we are really interested in!

• Have a sound knowledge of the design and artworking process from start to finish.

• At least 2 years’ experience working within the print industry or design agency.

• Thrive on working in a proactive team and able to quickly create great client relationships.

• Have a natural eye for typography, colour, layout, photography and branding.

• Know your way around InDesign as well as Photoshop and Illustrator.

• Have knowledge and an interest in print production.

• Be able to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment.

• Be a mac user.
