Graphic Designer

Full-time Red Rock International in Llanelli

Overview Red Rock International designs innovative experiential training for organisations in the UK and internationally. Working from our base in Llanelli, South Wales, we work alongside our partner offices in Egypt and Qatar to deliver training to a broad range of customers. Red Rock International was founded on a core belief that business is more than just making money. We believe that business can be used to benefit the communities and environments we work in. We are a small relaxed team where good working relationships are just as valuable as getting the job done. We are looking for a graphic designer to join our team to help us develop the visual content of our courses and our brand. The successful candidate will know how to create beautiful yet functional designs that convey a range of concepts. Self-motivation is essential, as is an eye for detail and we value autonomy and innovation in our team. The position is full time for an initial 6-months with a view to extend the contract, potentially resulting in a permanent position. Part funded by Jobs Growth Wales, it is open to individuals aged 16 - 24. (Though feel free to get in touch if not in this age group)

The role will include:

  • Working collaboratively with RRI staff in the UK and partner offices to develop ideas and bring concepts and information together
  • Designing, creating and formatting documentation for courses such as workbooks, proposals, presentations and learning materials in multiple formats including word, power point, and adobe
  • Developing a library of design assets including images, icons and templates
  • Working to, and developing, the RRI brand guidelines to produce marketing materials and design assets including print, digital media and website
  • Completing projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
  • Maintaining technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributing to the wider team effort by taking on other duties where needed

Skills and experience

  • Prior work experience is not necessary. We would expect to see a portfolio demonstrating design ability
  • The individual must hold a relevant degree
  • Confident using Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office
  • Ability to design according to brand guidelines, but applying a flair for design to create original and beautiful work
  • Wordpress web updating would be a benefit

Salary and benefits

  • Salary £16,000 - £18,000
  • 25 days holiday pro-rata
