Full-time bwa design in Hay-on-Wye

We are looking for a full stack developer who wants to make a positive impact in society. If you like dramatic views and want to make a difference, join our team on the Welsh borders. Our new developer must have a strong appetite to get stuck in on all projects, step up to challenges and be keen to develop new skills and progress quickly. Above all, we are looking for the right person with the right attitude for the right place (that’s here).

The role will include:
// developing front end website architecture
// designing user interactions on web pages
// developing back end website applications
// creating servers and databases for functionality
// ensuring cross-platform optimization
// ensuring responsiveness of applications
// working in collaboration with the creative team
// seeing through a project from conception to finished product
// designing and developing APIs
// meeting both technical and consumer needs
// staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages
// problem solving for client briefs

Required skills:
// strong organizational and project management skills
// proficiency with fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS, SASS and JavaScript
// familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React and Vue
// proficiency with CMS’s such as Drupal 8, Laravel, and Umbraco
// proficiency with server side languages such as PHP and .Net
// familiarity with database technology such as MySQL and MongoDB
// excellent verbal communication skills
// good problem solving skills
// the confidence to ask questions and highlight concerns when they arise
// ability to multi-task
// excellent attention to detail
// degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science
