Graphics Technician, Cardiff

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Graphics Technician to assist our Graphic Design and Cartography team to deliver design support for NLP’s development projects. This is a varied and interesting role in which you will be involved in the production of reports, leaflets and e-invitations and will also be required to support the team with illustration and mapping, presentations and public exhibitions.

This is an excellent opportunity which would suit an individual with 1-3 years’ experience in a graphic design or technical role or somebody who has recently acquired a qualification in Graphic Design / CAD.

We want a candidate who is a keen team player who will bring new, innovative and creative solutions to projects and who is able to communicate their ideas effectively with clear, eye catching layouts and typography. It is expected that you will be interested in the built environment and that you will be confident in working with technical data and maps. You should also be fully conversant with Adobe CS, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Photography and AutoCAD skills are also an advantage.

Excellent interpersonal skills are a must for this role as well as an ability to form effective working relationships with co-workers, clients and suppliers and to meet tight deadlines.

This role will also involve occasional travel between NLP’s offices.
