Full-time GRADUATE DESIGNER / ILLUSTRATOR – FULL TIME CONTRACT

Cardiff City Football Club are looking to employ a talented graduate graphic designer/illustrator on a fixed contract, initially running until May 2012 after which time the position will be reviewed.

Working full time and on-site at Cardiff City Stadium under the guidance of the Media Manager, the successful applicant will excel in the creation of high quality varied club related designs utilising flair and creative initiative under tight deadline conditions.

Projects will include print design, marketing and commercial creative, photography, web based design, illustration work and desktop publishing, aiming to continuously improve the Cardiff City presence and brand with supporters and commercial partners alike.

• Key skills: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and photography
• Desired skills: Flash, Quark / Adobe InDesign

Ideally suited to a graphic design graduate with an ability to think conceptually on marketing the club, the position will greatly enhance any CV with multiple examples of commercial projects under your name.

As a means to integrate and identify sports based imagery without the need for constant supervision, the successful candidate will also ideally hold a strong knowledge and interest in football, plus excellent written and communication skills to assist department workflow.
