Web Design/Build: BFI - Film Hub Wales, Northern Ireland and North

Freelance Film Hub Wales / Film Hub NI / Film Hub North - Anywhere

Film Audience Network Website Brief (Film Hub NI, Film Hub North, and Film Hub Wales)

Introduction:
Nine Film Hubs around the UK are delivering the ground-breaking British Film Institute’s (BFI) Film Audience Network (FAN) initiative, which launched officially in 2013. Film Hub Lead Organisations (HLOs) have been appointed across the UK, with the shared mission to bring new film experiences to audiences across the nation and beyond.

Working with people across the UK, the Film Hubs will ensure the delivery of a 4-year programme of innovative film activity through events, screenings, education opportunities and collaborations with other practitioners and regional Hub Lead Organisations (HLOs).

The Brief:
Working in partnership, Film Hub Wales, Film Hub NI and Film Hub North are commissioning a white label website which will allow the three hubs to share a common build, with design tailored to each Hub.

The following document has been collated from individual briefs supplied by Film Hub NI, Film Hub North and Film Hub Wales and outlines both shared and individual key requirements.

Overview of Objectives for Website:

Film Hub NI www.filmhubni.org
• To create a multi-platform responsive website, which will carry information pertaining to all Film Hub NI activities. The website will be required to cover both audience/ public facing activities (e.g. listings for screenings) and Hub member facing activities (e.g. Investment scheme guidelines and training courses).

Film Hub North www.filmhubnorth.org.uk
• The site will be a detailed and integral tool to creating a cohesive Hub – it should be about and for the membership, but be accessible enough for new people to understand what can be offered. It needs to be a straightforward content management system that can be managed by Film Hub North. The branding will take into account the National branding guidelines of BFI FAN. It needs to be a clean and clear design that is suitable for all adults (a diverse audience).

Film Hub Wales www.filmhubwales.org and www.canolfanffilmcymru.org
• To offer a one-stop-shop for film in Wales, creating space for cinemas, festivals, practitioners in film education, archive and film-making talent to communicate with audiences and one another. The site will facilitate the dissemination of information and promote knowledge sharing across the network in areas such as marketing, programming and data capture.
