Web User Experience Designer
An exciting and challenging opportunity to join us at Gocompare.com is now open. As the Web User Experience Designer you will work closely with the Web Development Executives and UX Specialists to deliver ‘best-in-class’ user-centred designs for a leading UK website. The Web user Experience Designer will advise and make recommendations on best practice in web design and user experience, not just from the PCW arena but from across the Web.
Responsibilities will include but will be limited to
Ownership of the guidelines and principles for both visual design and interaction design of the site, Including: – Macro-design: Page layouts, structure & navigation – Micro-design: Page elements, eg: buttons and icons, fonts & colours – Interactions: Feedback and animation, eg: hover states and roll overs
Work with the marketing team to ensure the guidelines for the site are consistent with the overall company brand guidelines.
Develop the design of the site across the complete customer journey – from Homepage to ‘Transfer to
Partner’ page to improve customer experience and conversion.
Work with the UX Specialists to develop initial ‘flat’ designs for all site and journey improvements – from first concepts/wireframes to hi fidelity designs. Ensure these are developed into an engaging tactile online experience by the Technology team.
Work with external stakeholders to align their website design with our design guidelines and principles.
Supporting the UX testing programme through designing all variants of the assets/page elements to be used in the test.
Keep up to date with current web design best practice as technology develops.
