Based in the heart of Cardiff Bay, Karolo is a small but highly ambitious digital design and branding agency. Our team work closely in a friendly environment to deliver creative solutions of the highest quality, to clients all over the UK.

We’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic junior designer, with a passion for digital design and an understanding of the web.

You’ll be working closely with the creative team, initially providing support on projects spanning branding, advertising, packaging, but most predominantly website design. As your skills develop, your responsibilities will increase as you work towards taking project briefs from our creative director, generating ideas and seeing projects from start to finish. This is the ideal opportunity for someone eager to learn, with a passion for design for the web.

Good communication skills, a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn are not just desirable qualities, they are a must! We know you won’t be the finished article, but what you lack in knowledge, you’ll make up for in attitude and commitment. You’ll understand how to take a brief and importantly how to accept and learn from constructive criticism.

In regards to skills and technical abilities, you should be proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator. You’ll have at least some experience of designing for the web, with an understanding of grid systems, information architecture and user experience. You should have a keen interest in the latest technologies and web trends. Knowledge of html, css and content management systems is an added benefit, but you will not be expected to code, this role is purely design based.

This is a Jobs Growth Wales position, thus you need to be between the age of 16-24
