Full-time RockIT in Bridgend

RockIT are a multi-award-winning, IT Managed Service company based in Bridgend, South Wales. Currently ranked as one of Wales’ Fast Growth 50 businesses we recently opened a second office in Hammersmith, London. We boast an extensive client base in the surrounding area, the south of England and the Midlands.

Due to company expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a full time, permanent in-house graphic and web designer.

We are looking for a creative and talented designer to work with our directors to design, overhaul and continually develop existing internal and external communication including: the RockIT website; web forms; internal stationary; internal and external media; marketing literature; sales proposals and more to ensure that RockIT retains its modern and fresh image.

Key responsibilities:-

  • Design, implement and continually develop cutting edge sections of the RockIT website as the business grows and changes
  • Optimise, refresh and continually develop existing sections of the RockIT website and business web forms
  • Redesign and continually develop and refresh internal and external media, marketing literature, internal stationary and sales proposals
  • Brainstorm new ideas and innovative ways for RockIT to refresh its branding to retain a modern and fresh image
  • Manage design projects from initial brief through to completion
  • Liaise with RockIT’s external marketing agent to ensure they are aware of changes as they occur

As the role develops, so will your key responsibilities and it will be expected that the successful candidate is able to keep up with the growth of the business. You must demonstrate exemplary time keeping skills as you must be able to deliver to strict deadlines. You will be expected to hit the ground running, so essential skills are as follows:-

  • Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills to include in particular Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Design related education to degree level or equivalent and significant work experience.
  • Creative with commercial awareness and a solid understanding of brand awareness
  • Digitally focused but with good knowledge of print processes
  • A solid understanding of designing for a range of viewports and devices
  • An understanding of HTML, PHP, CSS and CMS systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Outlook and Excel a plus.

  • Able to work to tight and demanding deadlines and across multiple projects
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A positive can do attitude, with a proven track record of delivering projects
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in working with senior management
  • A team player who enjoys working closely with others
  • Awareness of current trends in web, interactive and mobile technologies. Awareness of trends in graphic design.

Hours of Work 40 Hours per week. Monday to Friday between 8am – 6pm
