Confused.com are seeking a user interface designer to join the creative team at their Cardiff offices. This is a great opportunity to work across some key projects and the many teams in Confused.com who are passionate about our online customer experience.

Reporting to the Head of Design, as the user interaction lead you will be hands on and solely responsible for delivering a range of customer interfaces from inception to delivery.

Role overview and responsibilities

• Confidently and independently manage and implement various online customer interface projects from inception to delivery, working closely with product owners and development teams

• Create briefs or work from briefs, manage projects, compile extensive research, chair internal brainstorming sessions, create and present ideas, create clickable wireframes and prototypes, conduct internal and external user testing, produce final polished designs and more

• Complete a range of other design and project management related BAU tasks as required.

Experience required

• Related degree (or equivalent) and significant related work experience - agency or client side

• Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills

• Excellent experience in prototyping, detailed design, usability testing, and implementing the final product

• Excellent experience of project management and project documentation

• A solid understanding of designing for a range of viewports and devices

• Knowledge of brand identity systems, typography, layouts, accessibility, visual treatments and user-focused design

• An understanding of HTML5, CSS and CMS systems, coding knowledge a plus

• Solid examples of previous projects including the above via a portfolio for review prior to interview
