Global Merchandise & Design Ltd. (GMD) is looking for a Graphic Designer/Mac Artworker to join our creative team. The position would be ideal for someone with creative flair who is able to perform well under pressure, is well organised, flexible, accurate and a quick thinker. The suitable candidate will have the following attributes:- Strong general Mac skills, qualifications using Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop. Knowledge of silk screen and general print production would be beneficial although not essential. The candidate will have originality, creative flair and a strong visual sense. Ability to work as part of a team, confident, a strong attention to detail, the ability to balance several projects at a time and to be very much open to design critique. Knowledge of current trends and branding. The work undertaken is heavily focused on tourist retail, the ideal candidate will develop designs through demographic profiles. Young children, teenagers and adults that require a range of diverse styles but with limited use of colour. Working on off-the-shelf garments using a variety of print related techniques which are then adapted for a range of ancillary products that fit the clients requirements. The turnaround for these briefs can be very quick and the successful candidate will be required to have full training in colour separation for textiles.

Salary and benefits negotiable based on experience, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays.
