Role Description

An exciting and challenging role is available for an enthusiastic front-end software developer, with 2+ years’ commercial experience, capable of extending their .NET knowledge and technical skills in the full development lifecycle of cutting-edge travel software products and travel booking websites. The work is unique and challenging, creating a fantastic opportunity for any developer who wants to learn more, learn new technologies and keep pushing themselves.

Duties

• Writing new websites from APIs / the web designer’s HTML / CSS code. • Implementing new features and supporting existing websites. • Add your enthusiasm and experience to a dynamic team of skilled developers. • Working closely with Project / QA / Helpdesk teams.

Abilities

• To solve problems quickly. • To embrace new technologies as necessary. • To be flexible in your approach and willing to try new, creative technical solutions.

Required skills and expertise

• 2+ years’ experience with Model View ViewModel (MVVM) frameworks such as Ember / Angular / Backbone / React / Knockout, as well as other front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap. • Experience of HTML, CSS and Javascript. • Experience of APIs, XML and JSON. • Experience of site navigation, responsive websites. • An understanding of architecture, usability, scalability, and accessibility issues. • Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills.

Additional experience in the following would prove useful

• Exposure to Microsoft Azure, ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET Web API.
