A Middle Weight Graphic Designer is required to join a medium-sized and fully serviced advertising, marketing and design agency based in Blaenau Gwent, while carrying out work for clients throughout the UK. This agency has experienced considerable growth and now requires an in-house Graphic Designer to join and work alongside the Senior Graphic Designer, the rest of the busy design department and as part of the organisation as a whole in order to meet high demand from clients.

This is a varied role suited to someone with previous experience in graphic design and creative agencies. With a creative mind, the applicant must have ongoing interest in graphic design and creative industry trends. This position will also require the applicant to have some experience in web design. We are not, however, looking for a developer but someone with experience in website design.

Responsibilities within the role include:

• Design marketing collateral for print and online publication
• Liaise with the client, design team and all involved on each project efficient and in a professional manner.
• Working with clients, briefing and advising them with regards to design style, format, print production and estimated timescales.
• Liaising with external printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality.

Essential skills within the role include:

• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat.
• Creative flair with a desire to research and remain up-to-date with current trends and techniques.
• Degree educated with previous design experience with self initiated/ freelance work taken into consideration.
• Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail
• Be able to work as part of an efficient team and develop good working and communicative relationships at all levels within the organisation and beyond.
• Experience in designing websites and working alongside WordPress developers advantageous.
