Web Design Project - Graduate Work Placement

Temporary GO Wales in Ammanford

This is a 10 week paid work placement which has been arranged via the GO Wales scheme. Any graduate in Wales can apply for this position irrespective of when you may have graduated. Closing date 31/01/12

Autograffeg is a leading design and media agency; they develop quality bespoke software, web applications and graphic design for printed media. Their expertise within the media sector allows them to provide automated solutions for live ‘on air’ graphical requirements such as Sport, Elections and Game Shows. They are seeking a creative design graduate to undertake a 10-week placement to be involved in all stages of the company`s current projects from the design and proofing through to the final development and delivery of the product.

The candidate will also be exposed to other areas of the business as the development team work on many projects simultaneously. The chosen candidates need to be able to work on their own once instructed, have good language and communication skills, as well as be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

Essential Requirements :
CSS Based Web Design
HTML
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe illustrator
Adobe InDesign
Desired Requirements :
jQuery /Javascript
PHP
IOS UX Design
Android UX Design
Corel Draw
Any other related skills such as Word Press, Drupal or other CMS systems would be an advantage.

Expected Outcomes :

The aim of the work placement is to assist the web design team. The successful candidate will also gain invaluable experience for future employment.

An integral part of GO Wales work placements is the City and Guilds Professional Development Award; all individuals on placement complete this short work based qualification which allows them and the host employer to make the most of the experience.
