Full-time Datris in Caerphilly

Datris is an agile software and analytics business, established in April 2015, with a team of 7 based at Welsh ICE in Caerphilly. Datris stands for Data > Transformation > Insight.

Datris is currently developing new web-based software and advanced analytics applications for beta test and launch in 2018, with ambitious plans for UK and international roll out.

Datris is profitable and well-funded with ongoing commercial contracts, led by a highly experienced commercial, design and technical team. We offer significant career potential for individuals sharing our ambition and passion. We are seeking to appoint a Junior Web Developer to join our expanding team. We are looking for someone who can work using their own initiative or as part of a team.

Each of our web-based and mobile applications are created through a group effort. Our Front End Stack includes: HTML, CSS, Sass, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, APIs, Django, Bootstrap.

Your role would involve mainly web and front-end development including UX/UI. Back-end development would be a plus but not essential.

Your responsibilities, reporting to the Front End Developer, will include: • Write the program code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website and web-based application software and graphics packages (eg Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator) to meet business requirements • Test the application, identify and resolve technical problems • Upload applications onto a server, admin and support, integrations with AWS and NGINX • Attend project meetings to give updates, plans and advice / or instructions from the Front End Developer and project manager.

Preferred skills include good communication skills, being candid, the ability to work well and flexibly within a team, able to work well under pressure, organised with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, keen to listen, learn and explore.

Requirements: 1 Degree at Pass or equivalent ICT at Pass or equivalent Applicants must be between 18 and 24
