Junior PHP Developer

We are seeking an enthusiastic junior PHP developer to join our growing team.
The role will involve helping to build and develop the JournoLink platform, which provides an affordable, intelligent PR solution to small and medium sized businesses.
JournoLink has just recently opened their new office in the central Cardiff area and so this role will be one of the first to form that new team.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent enthusiasm for coding and producing new, exciting technology. We are open to considering candidates without commercial experience, but with a good portfolio and the right attitude. Experience in PHP and MySQL is essential, and working abilities HTML/CSS3/Javascript are desired. Previous experience in Laravel/Symfony would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Working within a team to deliver the product roadmap by developing the core product.
- Maintaining existing software, including bug fixes, enhancements and updates.
- Helping to produce prototypes and innovations alongside the core product.
- Helping senior developers and management to produce estimates and timescales to build the product roadmap.
- Helping to provide low-level support through the client support team.
Candidate Criteria
- Experience in PHP 7, OOP, MySQL, HTML/CSS3/Javascript, Git (not necessarily commercial experience)
- Previous experience in Laravel/Symfony is beneficial.
- Great team communication skills.
- High levels of enthusiasm and a love for coding.
