Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)

Location: Caerphilly, Wales (current HQ)

The stuff you need

A strong understanding of building and maintaining secure APIs and web/native JavaScript applications At least 4 years experience working with Node.js and databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, Postgres) Experience with JavaScript client libraries (e.g. React/React Native) In-depth experience using APIs (e.g. RESTful, GraphQL) Comfortable using version control systems (e.g. Git) A willingness to want to communicate with clients is desirable, but not essential Knowledge with PHP is an added bonus, but will be required very minimally

A problem solver Proactive Experience in articulating and solving complex problems Positive in approach and vibe Comfortable with test-driven development and maintaining tests within a codebase Experience using cloud services and hosting environments (e.g. AWS, Heroku, Digital Ocean)

Excellent communication skills, to support and deliver cross-departmental projects. As a small team, we work very closely. We don’t believe in working in silos.

What is Big Lemon’s Story so far?

Since 2014, we've built a studio where the chance to be creative, collaborative, and to challenge ourselves is the most important thing in the world.

There's nothing we love more than sinking our teeth into a new project, where we try to bring a sense of fun and innovation to everything we do. We help our clients to realise their ambitions with innovative techy solutions; whether that's with a mobile app, an internal web app, scripts and bots to cut out inefficient processes, or a beautifully realised website.

We spend our days meeting new people, strategizing, and building new products that we believe in, that have an impact, make a difference, and that exceed our client's expectations every time. Over the years we've grown and developed, but our clients have never stopped being at the heart of everything we do.
