Duties and responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Build and deliver to code review stage new functionality and changes for the existing codebase on the website and fulfilment platform. • Work closely with all areas of the business to identify, scope and deliver enhancements to existing properties. • Contribute to technical direction setting and the development of our technical workflows, standards and tools where appropriate.

What technology we use:

Our website is based on a WordPress/WooCommerce implementation with significant bespoke development to support a customisable subscriptions module, addons, pauses, skips and the like. Our fulfilment software is also WordPress driven, though there is scope to change this. We use Docker for local development and are in the process of transitioning to fully stateless development and production infrastructure powered by Kubernetes. Complete flexibility is provided in terms of technical setup for the successful candidate, and as such a budget will be provided for the provision of appropriate hardware and software.

Experience

• Mastery of PHP, WordPress and WooCommerce • Functional knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS • Functional knowledge of SQL, particularly MySQL • Proven ability to work independently and deliver to a scope
