2D Motion Graphics Designer (Animator)

What is the role?

The role of motion graphics design spans the entire creative process from initial conception, storyboarding and asset creation all the way to the final animation of Hut Six's web-based information security tutorials.

This role is a full time in-office position. Whilst current COVID-19 guidance is in place a successful candidate will be allowed to work from home, subject to the initial induction and training being completed to a satisfactory level. Once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, it is expected that all employees of Hut Six return to working in-office.

Working alongside our current animators and the product development team you will be responsible for the creation of the graphical assets and the visual narrative of new and existing tutorials.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for e-learning, video and motion design, a strong eye for detail and can comfortably work with clients to achieve their brief.

Whilst you will be working within the Hut Six brand guidelines we expect you to enhance these as appropriate and set your own creative style. This is the opportunity to expand a fast-growing company's tone and style, develop your own skills and play a pivotal role in a small team.

What are we looking for?

• A qualification in Graphic Design, Animation, VFX or similar, or the equivalent in hands-on experience.
• Proven experience in taking a project from concept through to completion
• Ability to work to deadlines and at times under pressure, whilst producing high quality output.
• An ability to assist writers in developing visual narratives from scripts.
• Previous experience working in a design studio, agency or in-house team.
• Must be open, honest, direct and comfortable in giving and receiving constructive feedback

Compensation

£21K

This position is a full-time role with an immediate start.
