Junior Digital Designer

Part-time Mediadesign - Anywhere

Important: This position offers remote working however the successful candidate should also be able to work in a shared office space for a balanced approach to teamwork and creativity. Close proximity to West Wales or willingness to commute or relocate is preferable. The contract length is 6 months leading onto a full time role for the right applicant.

Job Description Working alongside our Digital Design Manager, you'll craft a wide array of design work for various blue-chip clients, mostly in the financial and tourism sectors. Projects are vast and varied, including website design and development, motion graphics, video-editing, email design, social media artwork, brand identity design and so much more.

Duties

  • Assist the creative team on numerous projects
  • Work independently on your own projects
  • Continually develop your skills through training and self-learning
  • Have a real passion for design and creativity
  • Able to work under pressure and meet client deadlines
  • Bring positive energy and enthusiasm to the team

Skills You should have confidence and experience in working with a range of creative tools for creating static and motion content. You’ll also be curious and enthusiastic to expand across a range of new and exciting technologies.

Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite including:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe XD
  • Adobe After Effects
  • Adobe Premier Pro

Desirable skills or willingness to learn

  • An understanding of HTML and CSS
  • No-Code development tools such as Webflow
  • Google Analytics
  • Microsoft suite – Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Mediadesign and working life

  • We’re a small team in Wales that deliver impressive creative work to clients across the world
  • Our team consists of three creative designers, two client account admin managers and one account manager
  • We work in an open, positive and friendly environment with shared passions
  • The main location of the company is in mid-wales, however in this role you’ll be working closely with our Digital Design Manager near Cardigan, West Wales
  • You’ll work both from a shared office space and from home
  • You’ll be entitled to 25 days pro-rata holiday and your birthday off work
  • We’ll regularly meet up as a team and share fun social events
