To support the University within the Digital Communications team, leading on digital design and providing direction and advice on the implementation of the University brand across all digital media.

Specifically, the postholder will play a key role in the improvement of both external and internal websites & web applications through highly creative idea generation, exceptional contemporary design skills, an understanding of UX practices, substantial experience of content management systems and a keen eye for detail. The postholder will also provide specialist and expert guidance, manage relationships and communications with stakeholders across the University, and anticipate and overcome problems through innovative action planning.

The postholder will be a senior designer with experience of managing, directing or supervising more junior staff and will inspire the Digital Communications team to strive for better solutions through their creativity and passion for digital design.

The assignment may vary over time and the post holder may be required to work on other University digital projects should the need arise.

This position is full-time (35 hours per week) and open-ended.

Salary: £31,342 - £37,394 per annum (Grade 6)
