We need someone who can hit the ground running working with our senior web developer and designers to take our website and brand to the next level. Job Description
Develop a strategic front-end development plan to implement new UI/UX designs with accurate estimated times for completion
Contribute (with other departments) to the creation of new designs and implementation plans
Create quality mockups and prototypes on tight timelines
Develop (with the Design and Development team), wireframes for new designs for web and mobile with a strong emphasis on UI/UX
Implement new and existing designs for the new website
Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
Provide website maintenance and enhancements
Contributing to documentation (instructional, pitch and technical specification).
Train other non-technical staff where necessary
Maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the product’s interface
Maintaining a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies, keeping team members informed as appropriate, with a view to incorporating these in future projects, staying ahead of the market and position yourself and the company as a digital specialist
Job Requirements
Essential;
Experience of using HTML5 Web Page Structuring
Experience using CSS3 and SASS
Experience with Javascript Frameworks such as jQuery and Bootstrap
Minimum 3 years experience
Expert knowledge of using PSD’s and converting them to a working website
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent team player and great communicator
Pro-active and uses own initiative
A good understanding of well written code
A good understanding of the principles of on-site Search Engine Optimisation
A good understanding of User Experience
Experience with Graphic Design
Desirable;
A general understanding of PHP 5.3 Upwards
A general understanding of Symfony and TWIG
Experience using AngularJS
Experience using Git and Command Line Interfaces
Experience NodeJS packages and Grunt
An understanding of building websites semantically
Experience using Bourbon Neat
Experience with HTML5 Canvas
