We currently have a vacancy for a hard working, experienced Creative Designer in a fast paced, vibrant studio environment. The ideal candidate needs to be educated to a degree level and have a minimum of 3 years experience as a designer.

JOB ROLE:

The role includes working on anything from Christmas wrapping paper, crackers, gift bags, as well as table decorations, baking products, lots of fun and quirky things that will be sold across a number of well known retailers. You will work with a range of personnel throughout the organization to create outstanding designs that meet customer requirements.

The role will involve both 2D design and producing high quality product mock ups for presentations along with ‘New Product Development’. A good eye for detail is essential. You will be able to demonstrate innovation and creative flair. During the quieter summer months you will be given the time and opportunity to draw, illustrate and design, but to start with it will be all hands on deck, hitting the ground running and working through the busy period.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

It goes without saying that you will be a true creative; if you have a textile background then that would translate well due to the print element of the role. If you have a boring corporate portfolio, filled with brochures and leaflets, then unfortunately this won't be the role for you. You will demonstrate an ability to create great designs that translate to saleable products.

Excellent organisation and communication skills are essential. Knowledge of MS Office packages is desirable.

• High level of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Indesign,

• Good drawing and painting skills are desirable,

• Accurate, quick worker with great attention to detail,

• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure,

• Print process/ production knowledge is a plus,

• Experience creating product mock ups would also be an advantage.

Our Wales office is based near Aberdare and is commutable from surrounding areas such as Cardiff, Swansea and Bridgend.
